Area’s Top Returning Offensive Lineman

1.Mike McGlinchey-Penn Charter-6’8” 275 lbs.-McGlinchey is a versatile athlete with a unique combination of speed and strength. Great footwork, explosive off the ball and a great kid to be apart of the program. Besides starring on the football field, he is the center for the boy’s basketball team. He is committed to Notre Dame
2.Nick Arcidiacono-Archbishop Wood-6’4” 250 lbs.-Arcidiacono is expected to be a tight end this upcoming season, but is a dominate force in the trenches. Was part of last years offensive line, that was one of the best in Pennsylvania high school football history. He is verbally committed to Rutgers University.
3.Jayrd Jones-Smith-West Catholic-6’7” 295 lbs.- Jones-Smith was dominated last season. He has long arms and a great center of gravity. Tremendous run-blocker, he plays to the whistle. He can be known as “Pancaker-Supreme.” Somewhat rough around the edges when it comes to pass-blocking. He is considering many D-I schools, but favorites seem to be: Arizona, NC State, Pitt and Temple.
4.Rick Young-Souderton-6’2 295 lbs- He is entering his junior year and is expected to make that leap into many of top D-I’s programs radars. Young is one of the areas’ top interior lineman. He puts opposing players on their back more times than not.
5.Madison O’Connor-Pottsgrove-6’4” 310 lbs.-O’Connor busted on the scene as a sophomore, when you line-up across from him, not only does he make it hard to get past him, but it’s even harder to beat him off the snap. Has interest from numerous schools such as: Temple and West Virginia.
6.Elijah Wilkinson-Downingtown West-6’5” 300 lbs.-Wilkinson, is an “earth-mover.” He long arms and great feet, He can get to the second level as good as anyone. Expect a big year for the big man from Downingtown. Has two D-I AA offers(Delaware State and James Madison).
7.Curtis Cothran-Council Rock North-6’5” 255 lbs.-Cothran is better known for his defensive play as a defensive end, but you can not overlook his offensive line skills. He is a quick and agility tackle. Arguably one of the area’s best pass-blocker. He is verbally committed to Penn State.
8.Eric Gallo-Council Rock South-6’3 275 lbs.-Gallo, the younger brother of P.J., a Maryland Terp Tight End), has everything to become an elite offensive lineman. He is an all-around type of lineman, that can run-block as well as pass-block. Expect many D-I schools to make their way to the Gallo’s home once again.
9.George griffin-Archbishop Wood-6’3” 280 lbs.- Griffin was part of that dominated o-line of Wood’s. He wasn’t a starter but saw time. He just moves people. Gets lower than his opponent and drives them until the whistle blows. D-I AA player.
10.Mark Caputo-Unionville-6’2” 290-Caputo, busted on to the scene last year after having an impressive campaign his sophomore season. Another great interior lineman which great potential. D-IAA as of now but who knows how much better he will get.
