Coming into this game, the Knights of North Penn expected a battle, a chance to get back at the Catholic League. But, for St. Joseph’s Prep, they had different plans. Penn State-recruit, Skyler Mornhinweg, 6’3 215 lbs. QB. Had a game to remember being part of all seven touchdowns the Hawks offense produced.
“Were fighters, man” Mornhinweg said to reporter, Rick Obrien, Inquire Staff Writer. Mornhinweg had 342 total yards of offense. Going 14-30 with 189 yards passing with four touchdown passes. Running for an additional 153 yards and scored twice.
Mornhinweg ran a no-huddle for over half of the game. North Penn had no answer, in the 51-33 rout. The prep looks at this game to take them back to glory they once had when former head coach Gil Brooks was at the helm. For North Penn, they will look to rebound next week when they travel to Warrington, PA., to take on Central Bucks South high school. It will surely be a battle.
