PIAA District 5 - 2A Football Championship Preview by Bryan Lemmer


North Star Cougars vs. Chestnut Ridge Lions

1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th at Snyders of Berlin Sports Complex, Berlin-Brothersvalley High School.
The Cougars are (8-1) with a Regular Season Match-Up this week against the Mounties from Ligonier Valley
remaining before the District 5 2A Championship Game. The (5-4) Lions are idle this week. After a Week 1
loss to Windber the Lions have suffered defeats at District 10 2A (7-2) Greenville, at (9-0) Portage, and
against District 9 4A (5-4) Dubois. The Winner of this Championship Game will meet the Pittsburgh City
League (District 8) 2A Champion. That Champion will most likely be the Langley Mustangs.
