all i have to say, slick nick weak pic…sto ova clairtion. sto has actually 6 d1 recruits. sto has to much talent for clairton to man up and blitz. we also have the better coaching as being able to put a game plan together and play, everyone knows nola going to blitz and basically say we are better athletes than you, and this is not the case this saturday. last meeting sto won by 20 plus points. 43 and done!!!

Well, not as good as last week’s 27 – 3 record, but considering how many top games there were, 22 – 8 isn’t bad. Even called my two upset specials correctly, Baldwin over TJ and Sto-Rox over Rochester. Also, West Mifflin, Char-Valley, Seneca Valley and Washington all pulled off what I thought were upsets.

Now that’s what I call a good week of picking! The Fumbler and Chick’s Picks got nothing on me! 27 and 3 for week number 3!! I’ve got to get the Class AA games down a little better. All 3 losses came in Class AA picks. Two of them were pretty close and could have gone either way.

You have to be kidding about Mario Edwards! Did you see him just QUIT in the second quarter last year against Lake Travis in the state championship??? Sure, if he really wants to he can put up a highlight every once in a while…but is this who you want to say is one of the best? Marshall Womack “played” Mario Edwards during the practice leading up to championship game…and the offensive lineman that had to go against Womack all week said he was better than Mario…and he is an offensive tackle!!

16 – 4 for week #1 of the 2011 high school football season in the WPIAL. Not bad at all, especially since many of the games were cross-classification, versus out of state opponents, or cross-conferences. The two disappointing losses were New Castle losing and Charleroi losing. I thought New Castle was clearly the better team, and Charleroi with RB Quentin Briggs would be a factor in the Interstate Conference this year. Wrong on both counts.
