According to Lisa Singleton-Rickman of The Time Daily, see her full article here, Lauderdale County (Alabama) High School head football coach Bob Grisham’s made some offensive comments about Michelle Obama’s butt and homosexuals in front of some students last week. As a result of one of the students recording Coach Grishams’s comments, the coach has received a 10 day suspension.
Coach Grisham’s comments about Michelle O’s butt and her mission to get lower calorie lunches into the schools has brought the coach some very unwanted attention. The actual comments about Michelle Obama don’t really seem that harsh to deserve the 10 day suspension, however, the comments about homosexuals is probably the real culprit to Coach Grisham’s suspension despite The Times Daily’s catchy article title.
We don’t condone any name calling or insensitivity toward any group whatsoever, however, if this is true that the suspension is based on Grisham’s comments regarding Michelle Obama’s butt, there is probably more going on at Lauderdale County between the school board and the football coach.

And just to make sure there are no political exploitation involved in this story, “Grisham apologized, saying he “misspoke,” he joined a list of other white men who have been forced to take back their words after commenting on Michelle Obama’s bottom, writes The Washington Post‘s Krissah Thompson. ”
Krissah Thompson, we know you are style columnist, but this story is not about Michelle Obama’s butt comments. Your article minimizes the the other comments, which should garner the most attention of the school board.
The Lauderdale County school board is set to meet on 02/14/2013. We’ll see if there is much love for Coach Grisham in Lauderdale County then.
