Here is our list of “pre-season” high school football prospects from the class of 2012 in Pennsylvania. Well, all of Pennsylvania except for western Pennsylvania which we have already done. Why did we do western Pennsylvania seperately? Because we are based in western Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh area! Remember, this is just a pre-season list of high school football prospects for 2012. In no particular order, here we go:
1. Noah Spence, 6′ 4″ 240 pounds, Defensive End from Bishop McDevitt High School. Right now, a toss-up as to whether he or Rushel Shell from Hopewell high school is the top player in Pennsylvania.
2. Drew Harris, 6′ 1″ 205 pounds, Running Back from Downingtown East High School. Highlight video Here!
3. Skyler Mornhinweg, 6′ 3″ 190 pounds, Quarterback from St. Joseph’s Prep. Son of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. Committed to Stanford.
4. Colin Thompson, 6, 6″ 255 pounds, Tight End from Archbishop Wood High School. One of the top tight end prospects in the country.5. Eugene Lewis, 6′ 2″ 190 pounds, Quarterback from Wyoming Valley West High School. Athletic quarterback and defensive back who will probably play receiver in college.
6. Chris Muller, 6′ 6″ 300 pounds, Offensive Guard from Boyerstown Area High School. Highlight video, Here!
7. JJ Denman, 6′ 6″ 310 pounds, Offensive Tackle from Pennsbury High School. Left tackle who runs well for his size. Good run blocker.
8. Frank Taylor, 6′ 4″ 285 pounds, Offensive Guard from Archbishop Wood High School. Another Archbishop Wood football player who is a top offensive line prospect.
9. Brendan Nosovitch, 6′ 2″ 195 pounds, Quarterback from Central Catholic High School. Over 2,300 passing yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for close to 1300 and 18 touchdowns.
10. Desmon Peoples, 5′ 8″ 170 pounds, Running Back from Archbishop Wood High School. Excellent vision for finding holes. Threat to score everytime he touches the ball.
11. Kevin Gulyas, 6′ 1″ 180 pounds, Receiver from Allentown Central Catholic High School. The top receiver for QB Brendan Nosovitch is back after scoring 19 touchdowns in 2010.
12. Rob Dvoracek, 6′ 2″ 215 pounds, Fullback from Parkland High School. Also a pretty good linebacker. Highlight video, Here!
13. Bryton Barr, 6′ 0″ 210 pound, Linebacker from Mechanicsburg Area High School. Top tackler in Pennsylvania with 17.5 tackles per game.
14. Alkwan Williams, 6′ 1″ 210 pounds, Linebacker from Greater Johnstown Area High School. Highlight video, Here!
15. Nate Smith, 6′ 1″ 185 pounds, Safety from Archbishop Wood High School. Philly transfer from George Washington High School.
16. Tanner Klinefelter, 6′ 2″ 185 pounds, Quarterback fro Red Lion Area High School. Only 6 interceptions while throwing for nearly 1800 yards and 23 touchdowns.
17. Blake Rankin, 6′ 4″ 195 pounds, Quarterback from Bloomsburg Area High School. Athletic, pro style quarterback who also plays basketball.18. Anthony Nash, 6′ 5″ 185 pounds, Receiver from Bayard Rustin High School. Big receiver who’s been overlooked but the big schools are showing interest now.
19. Adam DePietro, 6′ 4″ 250 pounds, Offensive Guard from Lancaster Catholic High School. Second team all-state (Pennsylvania) lineman as a junior.
20. Nyeem Wartman, 6′ 3″ 230 pounds, Linebacker from Valley View High School. Projected as an outside linebacker, Watman has a lot of raw talent. Also a track and basketball star.
